Carrot oatmeal with orange and walnuts

A delicious oatmeal with orange you simply must try. A healthy breakfast for a great start to the day.

Ingredients

  • Oat flakes, 50 g
  • Milk (I use soy milk), 200 ml
  • Carrot, 1 (grated)
  • Maple syrup, 1 tablespoon
  • Cinnamon, a pinch
  • Ginger, a pinch
  • Salt, a pinch
  • Orange, 1/2
  • Walnuts, 1 tablespoon

Preparation

Place the oat flakes, grated carrot, soy milk, maple syrup, and spices into a saucepan. Bring to a boil and simmer over low heat for about 5 minutes. If you prefer thicker oatmeal, leave it covered in the saucepan for another 5 minutes. Transfer to a bowl and garnish with orange and walnuts.
