Fruit Crumble with Oat and Walnut Topping

A classic crumble is the perfect homemade dessert for sweet tooths of all ages. Use your favorite fruits, prepare the crumble, and serve something delicious for a sweet snack!

Ingredients

  • Cinnamon – 0.5 teaspoon
  • Plums – 1.2 kg
  • Sugar – 120 g
  • Butter – 120 g
  • All-purpose flour – 170 g
  • Potato starch – 2 tablespoons
  • Ground cardamom – 1 teaspoon
  • Oats – 120 g
  • Walnuts – 70 g
  • Salt – a pinch
  • Coconut flakes – 3 tablespoons

Preparation

Step 1: Prepare the Crumble Mix all dry ingredients in a bowl. Add the butter. Mix, preferably with a fork or fingers, until crumbly.

Step 2: Prepare the Fruit Mix sugar, potato starch, and salt. Remove pits from stone fruits and cut larger fruits into pieces. Gently mix with the dry ingredients and place in a baking dish measuring about 20×30 cm. Sprinkle evenly with the crumble topping.

Step 3: Bake the Fruit with Crumble Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius and bake for about 40 minutes until the crumble is golden brown and the fruits underneath are bubbling with juice.

Serve the dessert optionally with a scoop of your favorite ice cream.
