A delicious coconut-flavored panna cotta dessert. A simple recipe and the perfect treat for the whole family.
Ingredients
For the panna cotta
- powdered gelatin: 2 teaspoons
- warm water: 2 tablespoons
- coconut milk: 250 ml
- sugar: 40 g
- rum: 2 tablespoons
- white wine: 2 tablespoons
For the green jelly
- powdered gelatin: 1 teaspoon
- warm water: 1 tablespoon
- green-colored alcohol (see tips): 1/2 cup
- shredded coconut: 8 flakes
Preparation
Panna cotta
Place the gelatin in a cup, add the warm water, stir, and let it sit for 5 minutes.
Pour the coconut milk into a saucepan, add the sugar, rum, and white wine. Stir and heat over low heat, mixing until the sugar dissolves. Remove from heat when the mixture is very warm but not boiling.
Add the softened gelatin and stir for about 3 minutes until the gelatin completely dissolves.
Pour the mixture into 4 small cups or glasses, let cool, and refrigerate for about 2-3 hours, until the cream sets.
Green jelly
Place the gelatin in a small bowl, add the warm water, and let it sit for 5 minutes.
Pour the green-colored alcohol into a saucepan, heat over low heat until very warm but not boiling. Remove from heat and add the softened gelatin, stirring until completely dissolved. Let the jelly cool.
Once the panna cotta has set, sprinkle the shredded coconut on top and pour the cooled jelly over it. Refrigerate for another 2 hours until the jelly is set. Keep in the refrigerator until serving.
