Buttery, shortbread-like cookies – Christmas tree-shaped or in any other desired shape. The best recipe for butter cookies, not only in the shape of Christmas trees.
Ingredients
- 150g softened butter
- 70g granulated sugar or 50g powdered sugar
- 150g cake flour
- 75g rice flour or potato flour
- Cookie cutters
Preparation
Beat the butter with the sugar using a mixer for about 6 – 7 minutes. Add the sifted cake flour and rice flour. Mix for a while or knead by hand until the ingredients come together into a dough. Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for about 30 minutes. Preheat the oven to 160 degrees Celsius. Divide the dough into 3 portions and roll out each portion into sheets about 3 mm thick, dusting the work surface with flour. Keep the remaining dough in the refrigerator. Cut out shapes using cookie cutters and arrange them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Place in the preheated oven and bake for 15 minutes. Once cooled, you can glaze them and decorate with sprinkles.
