Banana Ice Cream

Banana Ice Cream

You can make the ice cream with coffee (natural or grain) or plant milk, e.g., almond or coconut. If the ice cream doesn’t need to be vegan, you can also add cow’s milk or natural yogurt.

Ingredients

  • 3 bananas
  • 50 ml cooled coffee or plant milk
  • optional: for sprinkling, e.g., oat crumble (bake just the crumble without fruit) or granola

Preparation

Peel the bananas, slice them, spread on a plate lined with parchment paper, and place in the freezer for at least 3 hours. Place the frozen bananas in a blender container (stand blender or hand blender), add the cooled coffee or milk or yogurt, and blend until smooth, stirring occasionally. At first, the bananas will be hard and difficult to blend, but they will soften over time, creating a “plastic” mass. Scoop into bowls and serve, optionally with crumble, granola, fruit sauce, etc.
