Are you concerned about your diet and your figure? You probably eat oatmeal for breakfast a lot. This recipe adds delicious fruit to it.
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup oat flakes
- 1 pinch of salt
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon honey (or sugar)
- strawberries (to taste), sliced
- blueberries (to taste)
Method:
In a small saucepan, combine the oats, salt, water and milk.
Bring to the boil over a medium heat, then reduce the heat to low and simmer, stirring occasionally, for about 5 minutes or until the porridge reaches the desired consistency.
Stir in the cinnamon and honey (or sugar) to taste.
Remove the pan from the heat and allow the porridge to cool for a minute.
Serve the porridge in bowls and top with sliced strawberries and blueberries.
