Yeast Pancakes with Chocolate Sauce

Yeast Pancakes with Chocolate Sauce

Yeast pancakes with chocolate sauce can be prepared for a sweet breakfast or a simple dinner. They also work well as a light lunch on hot days.

Ingredients

10 pieces:

  • yeast, 30 g
  • sugar, 5 tbsp + 1 tsp
  • flour, 2 cups (300 g)
  • warm milk, nearly 1 liter
  • eggs, 2-3

For serving:

  • 1 liter jar of stewed apples

Chocolate sauce:

  • milk, 1 cup (250 ml)
  • cocoa powder, 20 g
  • potato starch, 1 tbsp
  • egg yolks, 2
  • sugar, 1 tbsp
  • vanilla sugar

Preparation

Dissolve the yeast with 1 teaspoon of sugar, set aside for 10 minutes. In a bowl, combine the rest of the sugar (5 tbsp), flour, warm milk, eggs, and yeast, and mix to a smooth batter. Cover and let rise in a warm place for about 30-60 minutes.

Cook like traditional pancakes, fill with stewed apples, and drizzle with chocolate sauce: heat half of the milk with cocoa, mix the rest of the milk with potato starch, and bring to a boil. While continuously stirring, add the egg yolks with sugar and vanilla sugar.
