This recipe combines the sweet, buttery taste of toffee with the natural goodness of oats and dates to create a delicious breakfast or snack that satisfies your sweet tooth while providing nutritious energy. With a hint of maple and a touch of sea salt to enhance the flavour, Sticky Toffee Pudding Granola is a luxurious twist on a classic morning staple.
Ingredients:
- 25g butter
- 2 tbsp maple syrup
- 1 tablespoon date syrup
- 90g Mornflake Scottish Jumbo Oats
- 4 chopped dates
- Pinch of flaky sea salt
Method:
Preheat the oven to 300°F (150°C) and line a baking tray with baking paper.
In a saucepan over a low heat, melt the butter with the maple syrup and date syrup.
Once melted, remove from the heat and stir in the oats until they are completely coated with the syrup mixture.
Spread the oat mixture evenly on the baking tray.
Bake for 15 minutes, then remove from the oven and sprinkle the chopped dates over the muesli.
Return to the oven and bake for a further 10-15 minutes or until golden brown and crisp.
Remove from the oven and sprinkle with a pinch of flaky sea salt while still warm.
Allow the granola to cool completely on the tray before breaking into clusters.
