Celebrate the spirit of renewal with these Resurrection Rolls, a delightful snack that’s as meaningful as it is delicious. Wrapped in a soft crescent roll, each marshmallow melts away during baking, leaving a sweet and hollow centre. These rolls are a wonderful way to bring a touch of symbolism to your table, representing the empty tomb of Easter.
Ingredients:
- Chilled crescent rolls
- Caster sugar
- Ground cinnamon
- Marshmallows
- melted butter
- Icing:
- Powdered sugar
- Vanilla extract
- Sweetened milk
- Chopped nuts
Method:
Preheat the oven to 200 degrees C (400 degrees F). Lightly grease a baking tray.
Separate the crescent rolls into individual triangles.
Mix sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl.
Dip one marshmallow in the melted butter, then roll in the sugar and cinnamon mixture.
Place the coated marshmallow on the broad end of a triangle of dough. Carefully wrap the dough around the marshmallow, making sure it is completely covered and pinching the seams to seal.
