Ingredients:

  • Nonstick cooking spray
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 large eggs, room temperature
  • 1/2 cup sour cream, room temperature
  • 1 3/4 cups all purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon canela (cinnamon)
  • 6 tablespoons Nutella

Method:

Preheat the oven to 325°F (163°C). Spray a 9×5 inch loaf tin with non-stick cooking spray.

Cream the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy, about 3 minutes.

Add the vanilla extract and eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.

Whisk in the sour cream until well combined.

Whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt and caster sugar in a separate bowl.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.

Pour a third of the mixture into the prepared loaf tin.

Spoon 3 tablespoons of the Nutella over the dough and use a knife to cut it into the dough.

Repeat with another third of the dough and the remaining 3 tablespoons of Nutella.

Top with the rest of the dough and swirl again with the knife.

Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the centre comes out clean.

Cool in the tin for 15 minutes, then remove and cool completely on a wire rack.
