New York Cheesecake on Buttered Cookies

A recipe for New York cheesecake is one of many cheesecake combinations. Known as New York Cheesecake, it delights the taste buds of everyone who tries it at least once. Check out the recipe and prepare a cake in New York style!

Ingredients

Base:

  • Cookies: 15 dag
  • Butter: 80 g

Cheese Filling:

  • Cream cheese: 1 kg
  • Sugar: 250 g
  • Wheat flour: 3 tablespoons
  • Eggs: 3 pieces
  • 18% cream: 200 g
  • Lemon zest: 1 piece

Preparation

Base:

  1. Crush the cookies and blend them with a blender.
  2. Melt the butter, let it cool, and add it to the crushed cookies.
  3. Spread the cookie mixture onto the bottom of a 24 cm diameter cake pan, flatten it, and press it firmly. Chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.

Cheese Filling:

  1. Grind the cheese twice in a meat grinder. Add sugar, eggs, flour, cream, lemon zest to the cheese, and mix everything thoroughly until the ingredients are combined. Pour the cheese mixture onto the cookie base.
  2. Line the bottom and sides of the cake pan with double-folded aluminum foil, leaving plenty of foil on the outside and folding it lightly towards the center at the top of the cake pan.
  3. Place the cake pan in a larger baking dish and slowly pour boiling water halfway up the height of the baking dish.
  4. Place the cheesecake in an oven preheated to 180°C and bake for 45 minutes at 180°C, then reduce the temperature to 160°C and bake for another 30 minutes. During baking, cover the top with foil to prevent it from browning.
  5. After baking, cool the cheesecake with the oven door slightly open. Sprinkle the cold cheesecake with powdered sugar.
