Jerk-Spiced Bloody Mary

The Jerk-Spiced Bloody Mary isn’t just a cocktail, it’s a bold statement in a glass. Infused with the vibrant flavours of traditional jerk seasoning, this recipe takes the classic Bloody Mary to new heights of flavour.

Ingredients:

  • 1 quart tomato juice or Campbell’s V8 juice
  • 1/2 cup plus 1 tablespoon prepared jerk seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon celery salt
  • 3/4 ounce Worcestershire sauce
  • 4 oz fresh lime or lemon juice
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons hot pepper sauce, or to taste
  • 8 oz light or dark rum
  • 8-10 lime or lemon wedges
  • 8-10 celery sticks, with leaves

Method:

In a large pitcher, combine the tomato juice, jerk seasoning, celery salt, Worcestershire sauce, lime or lemon juice and hot pepper sauce. Stir well to ensure all the ingredients are completely mixed.

Taste and season to taste. For a spicier drink, add more jerk seasoning or hot pepper sauce.

Fill glasses with ice cubes to chill.

Pour 1 oz of rum into each glass.

Fill the rest of the glass with the Bloody Mary mix, leaving a little space at the top.

Garnish each glass with a lime or lemon wedge and a celery stick.

Serve immediately and enjoy!
