Ginger Marzipan Bars

These bars, prepared in this way, will make a perfect warming and sweet gift for your loved ones!

Ingredients

  • Vanilla – 1.5 g
  • Marzipan – 200 g
  • White couverture chocolate – 25 g
  • Dark couverture chocolate – 150 g
  • Cognac – 1 tablespoon
  • Candied ginger – 50 g

Preparation

Step 1: Knead the Mixture

Finely chop the ginger and set aside 2 teaspoons. Knead the remaining ginger with marzipan, vanilla seeds, and cognac. Roll out the mixture between 2 layers of parchment paper to a thickness of about 1 cm. Cut into 18 strips.

Step 2: Melt the Chocolate

Finely chop the dark couverture chocolate and melt it in a double boiler. Coat the marzipan strips with the melted chocolate and place them on parchment paper. Let them dry.

Step 3: Decorate the Bars

Finely chop the white couverture chocolate, melt it in a hot water bath. Transfer it into a freezer bag, seal the bag, and cut off a small corner. Use the white chocolate to draw stripes on the bars, then sprinkle them with the chopped ginger. Let them dry, store tightly wrapped.
