French Apple and Cinnamon Puff Pastry Cookies

French puff pastry cookies with apples are a quick and easy snack, also making a great dessert option. To prepare apple in French pastry, you only need a few ingredients that you probably already have in your fridge. Check out the recipe and make delicious French puff pastry cookies with apples.

Ingredients

  • Puff pastry: 300 grams
  • Apples: 2 large
  • Ground cinnamon: 1 heaping tablespoon
  • Lemon: 1/2
  • Pure honey: 1 teaspoon
  • Vanilla sugar: 1 teaspoon
  • Butter: 1 teaspoon
  • Egg yolk: 1

Preparation

  1. Peel and cut the apples into medium-sized cubes. Sprinkle with lemon juice from half a lemon.
  2. Add cinnamon, vanilla sugar, and a teaspoon of butter, then stew the apples for about 5 minutes. Add honey and mix well to combine with the apples.
  3. Cut the puff pastry into rectangles. Place the stewed apples on one half, then make cuts on the other half with a knife. Cover the apple-filled part with the cut pastry, and seal the edges.
  4. Brush the pastry with egg yolk. Place in a preheated oven and bake for 15 minutes at 180 degrees Celsius with convection.
