Exotic Curry Trifle

Prepare a layered dessert straight from the royal table. Trifle with mango, coconut, and a hint of curry will surely delight you.

Ingredients

  • Bananas – 2
  • Curry powder – 0.5 teaspoon
  • Mango – 1
  • Honey – 50 g
  • Oranges – 3
  • Heavy cream (30% fat) – 100 g
  • Low-fat cottage cheese – 500 g
  • Coconut cookies – 125 g
  • Ground cardamom – 1 teaspoon

Preparation

Step 1: Prepare the Cottage Cheese Mixture Mix the cottage cheese and honey. Season with curry powder and ground cardamom. Whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form and fold it into the cottage cheese mixture.

Step 2: Slice the Fruits Peel and thinly slice the mango, reserving a few slices for decoration, and refrigerate them. Cut the rest of the mango into cubes. Peel the oranges, removing the white pith as well. Segment the oranges, collecting any juice. Peel and slice the bananas.

Step 3: Arrange the Dessert Layers Arrange half of the coconut cookies in a bowl and drizzle them with a bit of orange juice. Layer half of the fruits and cottage cheese mixture over the cookies. Repeat the layers with the remaining ingredients. Refrigerate the trifle for at least 1 hour to allow the flavors to meld. Before serving, decorate with mango slices.
