There’s always a good day to make pancakes. Especially when you have a recipe for delicious plum sauce.
Ingredients
Pancakes
- Sugar – 2 tablespoons
- Cinnamon – 1 teaspoon
- Egg – 1 piece
- Butter – 2 tablespoons
- Milk – 300 ml
- Salt – 0.5 teaspoon
- Wheat flour – 120 g
Plum sauce
- Sugar – 5 tablespoons
- Cinnamon – 0.5 teaspoon
- Almonds – 50 g
- Plums – 300 g
- Water – 100 ml
Preparation
Sift the flour, mix with salt, sugar, and cinnamon, crack the egg and gradually whisk in the milk. Mix the batter until all lumps disappear. Set aside for 20 minutes. Heat a portion of butter in a pan and fry thin pancakes. As you fry more pancakes, gradually add more butter to the pan.
Place pitted plums with skin in a saucepan. Add sugar and water and simmer over low heat until the plums break down and the sauce thickens. Season to taste with cinnamon. Arrange the pancakes on a plate, drizzle with sauce. Toast chopped almonds on a dry pan. Once they start turning golden, remove them and sprinkle them over the pancakes.
