Chocolate Croissant Pudding

Sweet buttery croissants in an unusual form make for a delicious breakfast. With this, you’ll start every day right!

Ingredients

  • Croissants – 4 pieces
  • Eggs – 4 pieces
  • Sugar – 50 g
  • Icing sugar – 1 teaspoon
  • Dark chocolate – 100 g
  • Heavy cream (30%) – 300 g
  • Butter – 1 teaspoon
  • Milk – 150 ml

Preparation

Grease a heatproof dish measuring approximately 20 x 25 cm with butter. Cut the croissants into thick slices and place them in the dish. Break the chocolate into pieces and insert them between the croissant slices. In a bowl, thoroughly mix the eggs with milk, cream, and sugar. Pour the mixture over the croissants in the dish, cover with plastic wrap, and refrigerate for an hour.

After an hour, preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius and bake the pudding for about 45 minutes. Sprinkle the top with a little icing sugar. Serve warm.
