Ingredients

  • All-purpose flour – 300 g
  • Butter – 180 g
  • Sugar – 180 g
  • Plain yogurt – 150 ml
  • Dark chocolate – 150 g
  • Eggs – 4
  • Cocoa powder – 60 g
  • Baking powder – 4 g
  • Vanilla extract – 3 ml
  • Baking soda – 2.5 g
  • Salt – 1.5 g

Additionally

  • All-purpose flour – 15 g
  • Butter – 20 g

Preparation

Preheat the oven to 175 degrees Celsius. Grease the bundt cake pan with butter, then dust it with flour.

In a bowl, mix together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside for a moment. In another bowl, beat the butter with sugar until fluffy using a mixer. Set the mixer to medium speed.

Add eggs to the mixture, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Set the mixer to low speed. Mix vanilla extract with yogurt, then add to the butter-sugar mixture. Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture. Gently mix with a spoon until all ingredients are combined.

Drain cherries from the syrup and cut them in half. Finely chop the chocolate. Add both ingredients to the batter. Pour the batter into the prepared bundt cake pan and smooth the top. Place the pan in the oven and bake for about an hour, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Cool the cake with the oven door open for about 15 minutes, then remove it from the pan and transfer it to a cooling rack. Once cooled, drizzle the cake with melted chocolate or glaze with butter. Enjoy!
