Preparation

Step 1: Combine Dry Ingredients All ingredients should be at room temperature. Grind the chocolate, sift both types of flour. In a large bowl, combine all dry ingredients.

Step 2: Combine Wet Ingredients Melt the butter and set aside to cool. Combine in a large bowl with all wet ingredients except cherries and mix until smooth. Then add cherries and mix again.

Step 3: Bake the Muffins Add wet ingredients to dry ones and mix thoroughly. Place paper liners in the muffin tin. Distribute the batter into the liners, filling them about ¾ full. Bake the muffins in an oven preheated to 180°C for about 30 minutes. Before removing the muffins, check with a toothpick if they are baked through.

Step 4: Prepare the Topping Bring the cream to a boil in a saucepan. Grind the chocolate and add it to the cream. Stir until the chocolate is melted, then let it sit for about 15 minutes. Drizzle the cooled muffins with chocolate and decorate with walnuts.
