With this recipe, beautiful and tasty rose-shaped cookies will bloom during the carnival.
Ingredients
- Powdered sugar – a pinch
- Cherry jam – 280 g
- Eggs – 4 pcs
- Oil – 1 liter
- Salt – 0.5 teaspoon
- Spirytus – 1 teaspoon
- 12% cream – 150 ml
- Wheat flour – 340 g
Preparation
Mix the flour, egg yolks, cream, spirytus, and salt and knead into a uniform dough. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes. Roll out the chilled dough thinly and cut out circles of three sizes. Gently notch the edges of the circles, then layer them on top of each other – from largest to smallest. Press the center with your finger to glue all the layers together.
Heat oil in a pan. Place the dough roses in the oil with the smallest circle facing down. When they start to brown, flip them over and fry for a while longer until they turn golden brown. Remove the fried roses with a slotted spoon and place them on a paper towel to drain.
Once the cookies have cooled, sprinkle them with powdered sugar and decorate the top with a little cherry jam.
