A simple banana and cocoa cake. Tasty and sweet.
Ingredients
- Bananas, 300 g (peeled weight)
- Butter or oil, 150 g
- Sugar, 200 g
- Natural yogurt, 200 ml
- Eggs, 3
- All-purpose flour, 250 g
- Unsweetened cocoa powder, 55 g
- Baking soda, 1 1/2 tsp
- Salt, 1/2 tsp
- Cinnamon, 1 tsp
Optional
- Chopped chocolate, 100 g
Preparation
Prepare a long loaf pan with a capacity of 2.5 liters, e.g., 34 cm in length and 9 cm in width, or two smaller loaf pans, or a bundt cake pan. Grease the pan with butter and line it with baking paper. Preheat the oven to 180°C.
Blend the peeled bananas with a blender or mash them with a fork, mix with melted butter or oil, sugar, then with natural yogurt, and finally with eggs.
In a separate bowl, mix the flour with cocoa, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
Combine the ingredients from both bowls using a spoon, mixing briefly until just combined. Finally, mix in the chopped chocolate if using.
Pour the batter into the prepared pan, level the surface, and bake until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean, about 55 minutes. Remove from the oven and let cool.
