Discover the joy of baking with this easy Baked Oats recipe. It’s a versatile treat that combines the goodness of oats with the sweetness of your favourite add-ins. Whether it’s chocolate chips or fresh berries, every spoonful is a delightful surprise.

Ingredients:

  • 100g porridge oats
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 banana, peeled and chopped
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup or honey
  • 2 eggs
  • A pinch of mixed spice or ground cinnamon
  • 100g chocolate chips, blueberries, or raspberries, plus extra for serving
  • Flavourless oil, for greasing the ramekins

Method:

Preheat the oven:

Preheat the oven to 180°C.

Blend the base:

Place the oats, baking powder, banana, maple syrup or honey, eggs and mixed spices or cinnamon in a blender. Blend until smooth.

Add the mix-ins:

Stir in your choice of chocolate chips, blueberries or raspberries.

Prepare the ramekins:

Grease the ramekins with an odourless oil.

Bake:

Divide the batter between the ramekins.

Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the tops are golden and a toothpick inserted in the centre comes out clean.

Serve:

Allow the baked oatmeal to cool slightly, then serve with additional fruit or chocolate chips on top.
