Ingredients:
For the gnocchi:
- 1lb packet of store-bought gnocchi
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter, melted
- 1/2 cup cinnamon sugar
For the sauce:
- 3/4 cup heavy cream
- 2/3 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- Pinch of cayenne pepper (optional)
Method:
Cook the gnocchi according to package instructions, then drain and allow to cool slightly.
Toss the cooked gnocchi in the melted butter until well coated.
Put the cinnamon sugar in a large zip-top bag, add the buttered gnocchi and shake until evenly coated.
Heat the heavy cream in a saucepan over a medium heat until it begins to boil.
Remove from the heat and add the chocolate chips, ground cinnamon and cayenne pepper (if using). Leave to stand for a minute, then stir until smooth and creamy.
Serve the cinnamon sugar dusted gnocchi with the warm chocolate sauce for dipping.
