Easy Nutella Cookies

Easy Nutella Cookies

With their rich Nutella flavour and the added crunch of hazelnuts, these cookies are sure to be a hit, whether you’re making them for a cosy evening in, a festive gathering or just because you deserve a treat. The process is simple and the result is a batch of cookies that look and taste like they came from a gourmet bakery.

Ingredients:

  • ½ cup room temperature butter
  • ½ cup white sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chocolate-hazelnut spread (such as Nutella®)
  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • ¼ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup milk chocolate chips
  • ½ cup chopped hazelnuts

Method:

Preheat the oven to 175°C (350°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a large bowl, cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

Whisk in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.

Whisk in the Nutella until smooth.

Sift in the flour and cocoa powder and mix until just combined.

Fold in the chocolate chips and chopped hazelnuts.

Drop the dough by the spoonful onto the prepared baking tray, about 2cm apart.

Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are firm but the centres are still soft.

Cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
