- Brown sugar – 1 teaspoon
- Fresh yeast – 42 g
- Natural yogurt – 100 g
- Butter – 1 tablespoon
- Walnuts – 75 g
- Salt – 2 teaspoons
- Spelt flour – 500 g
Preparation
Step 1: Prepare the Yeast Starter Crumble the yeast and mix it with sugar in 400 ml of lukewarm water. Cover with a cloth and let it rise for 10 minutes.
Step 2: Knead the Dough Knead a sticky dough from flour, salt, yogurt, and yeast starter. Add chopped walnuts. Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place for about 30 minutes.
Step 3: Bake the Muffins Knead the dough again. Grease muffin molds and fill them with the dough. Let them rise again for 10 minutes. Then bake in an oven preheated to 220°C for about 25-30 minutes. Cool the baked muffins and remove them from the molds.
