Watermelon Frosé Ice Cream Float

Watermelon Frosé Ice Cream Float

Creating a Watermelon Frosé Ice Cream Float is a refreshing and sophisticated twist on a classic dessert. This recipe combines the coolness of watermelon, the crispness of rosé and the sweetness of lemonade, topped with creamy vanilla ice cream and tart freeze-dried raspberries.

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 watermelon, peeled, chopped, frozen overnight
  • 1 1/2 cups (375ml) vodka
  • 750ml bottle chilled rosé
  • 2 cups (500ml) chilled lemonade
  • Vanilla Ice Cream
  • Crushed freeze-dried raspberries, to serve

Method:

Peel and chop 1/4 of a watermelon, then freeze the chunks overnight until firm.

Place the frozen watermelon chunks, vodka and chilled rosé in a blender. Blend until smooth and frothy.

Pour the blended frosé mixture evenly into chilled glasses.

Top each glass with chilled lemonade to add sweetness and effervescence.

Top each glass with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. The contrast of creamy vanilla and fruity frosé is delicious.

Sprinkle crushed freeze-dried raspberries over the ice cream for a burst of colour and tangy flavour.

Serve the Watermelon Frosé Ice Cream Float immediately while it’s still cold and refreshing.
