Ingredients

Dough:

  • All-purpose flour: 400 grams
  • Powdered sugar: 1 cup
  • Vanilla sugar: 1 piece
  • Margarine: 250 grams
  • Lard: 1 tablespoon
  • Boiled egg yolks: 5
  • Baking powder: 1/2 teaspoon

Filling:

  • Margarine: 120 grams
  • Powdered sugar: 1/2 cup
  • Cream: 1 tablespoon
  • Orange extract: 1 teaspoon

Additional:

  • Icing for drizzling over cookies
  • Colorful candy sprinkles

Preparation

  1. Boil the eggs, let them cool, then halve them and use only the yolks. Prepare the dough: sift the flour and powdered sugar onto the work surface, add margarine, lard, vanilla sugar, baking powder, and rub the egg yolks through a fine sieve. Knead everything together. Use a star-shaped cookie cutter to cut out cookies, place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, and bake for about 15-20 minutes at 180 degrees Celsius.
  2. For the filling: cream the margarine with powdered sugar, add cream and orange extract, and continue to beat for a while. Spread the filling on one cookie.
  3. Place another cookie on top to make a sandwich.
  4. Drizzle the cookies with icing and sprinkle with colorful candy sprinkles.
