Rainbow Gelatine Cubes

Gelatine Cubes

How can you not love these fun, colourful cubes? They instantly grab the attention of children of all ages! They’re the perfect birthday party snack.

Ingredients:

  • 4 packets (3oz each) of assorted flavoured gelatine, divided
  • 6 envelopes unflavoured gelatine, divided
  • 5-3/4 cups boiling water, divided
  • 1 14-ounce can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/4 cup cold water

Method:

Make the first layer: In a bowl, combine one package of flavoured gelatin and one envelope of unflavoured gelatin. Add 1-1/4 cups boiling water and stir until completely dissolved. Pour the mixture into a 9×13 inch pan. Refrigerate until set, about 30 minutes.

Repeat the process with the remaining flavoured and unflavoured gelatine, using different colours for each layer. Allow each layer to set before adding the next.

When all the coloured layers have set, prepare the white layer: In a separate bowl, combine the sweetened condensed milk and 1/4 cup cold water. Mix well.

Gently pour the white mixture over the coloured gelatine layers in the dish. Refrigerate until set, about 30 minutes.

When fully set, cut the gelatine into cubes with a sharp knife.
