S'mores Brownies

S’mores Brownies combine two favourite treats into one irresistible dessert. Imagine rich, gooey brownies topped with the classic s’mores trio of graham crackers, gooey marshmallows and decadent milk chocolate. This recipe takes the nostalgia of campfire s’mores to a new level of indulgence that’s perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients:

Brownies:

  • 1 (18.3 oz.) package fudge brownie mix (such as Betty Crocker®)
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3 tablespoons water

S’Mores Topping:

  • 6 graham crackers, broken into pieces
  • 1 1/2 cups miniature marshmallows
  • 8 (1.5 ounce) milk chocolate bars, roughly chopped

Method:

Preheat the oven to 175°C (350°F). Grease or line a 9×13 inch baking pan with parchment paper.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the fudge brownie mix, vegetable oil, eggs and water. Whisk until well combined and smooth.

Pour the brownie mixture into the prepared baking tin and spread evenly with a spatula. Bake in the preheated oven according to the fudge brownie package instructions. Remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly.

While the brownies are baking, make the s’mores topping. Break the graham crackers into pieces and spread evenly over the half-baked brownies.

Sprinkle the mini marshmallows evenly over the graham crackers. Then scatter the coarsely chopped milk chocolate bars over the marshmallows.

Return the pan to the oven and turn the oven to broil. Alternatively, you can continue to bake at 350°F (175°C) until the marshmallows are puffed and golden brown and the chocolate is starting to melt, about 3-5 minutes. Watch carefully to avoid burning.

Remove the pan from the oven and let the s’mores brownies cool on a wire rack for about 10 minutes. Cut into squares and serve warm or at room temperature.

These S’mores Brownies are best eaten fresh. Serve as a delicious dessert, snack or treat for any occasion!
