Rose Ice Cream

Not only a delightful dessert but also a perfect surprise for someone special.

Ingredients

  • Sugar – 3 tablespoons
  • Milk – 200 ml
  • Egg yolks – 3 pieces
  • Cream (30%) – 250 ml
  • Lemon juice – 1 tablespoon
  • Rose petals – 1 liter (petals)

Preparation

Blend the rose petals with half of the sugar (for example, using a blender). You should get about 3 tablespoons of rose jam from this amount. Add lemon juice to the rose jam (this will intensify the color of the rose). Blend.

Bring the milk to a boil. Beat the egg yolks with the remaining half of the sugar until fluffy. Pour the boiling milk into the beaten yolks. Heat the mixture again over low heat for about 2 minutes until thickened. Let the milk-egg mixture cool.

Whip the chilled cream. Add the cooled mixture to the whipped cream, then add the rose jam. Mix everything thoroughly.

Transfer the mixture to the freezer. After an hour of freezing, stir the mixture. Repeat stirring every hour.
