Ingredients

Cupcakes:

  • White wine vinegar – 2 tsp
  • Sugar – 120 g
  • Vanilla sugar – 1 packet
  • Food coloring – 1 pc.
  • Eggs – 2 pcs.
  • Cocoa – 2 tsp
  • Butter – 120 g
  • Buttermilk – 150 ml
  • Wheat flour – 160 g
  • Baking soda – 5 g
  • Salt – a pinch

Frosting:

  • Powdered sugar – 125 g
  • Sugar hearts – 15 g
  • Vanilla – 3 g
  • Butter – 30 g
  • Cream cheese – 125 g

Preparation

Step 1: Combine the Cupcake Ingredients Mix softened butter, sugar, vanilla sugar, and salt until creamy. Add eggs and mix well. Then add enough food coloring to give the mixture a red color. Mix flour and cocoa, add buttermilk, and mix briefly. Combine baking soda with vinegar, add to the mixture, and mix briefly.

Step 2: Bake the Cupcakes Place paper liners in the indentations of a cupcake baking tray, then fill them with the batter. Bake in an oven preheated to 180°C for about 25 minutes. Allow to cool.

Step 3: Decorate the Cupcakes Mix the cream cheese with softened butter. Sift powdered sugar and add to the mixture, stirring. Add the seeds scraped from a vanilla bean and beat for 2-3 minutes until thick cream. Spread the frosting on the cupcakes. Decorate with red sprinkles or sugar hearts as desired.
