Peanut Butter Chocolate Fondue

Peanut Butter Chocolate Fondue

This fondue recipe combines the richness of chocolate with the nutty goodness of peanut butter. It’s perfect for dipping your favourite fruit, biscuits or marshmallows.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup 2% milk
  • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 4 large firm bananas, cut into 3/4 inch slices
  • 1 pint whole strawberries
  • optional: shortbread cookies and large marshmallows

Method:

Combine the semi-sweet chocolate chips and milk in a double boiler or heavy saucepan.

Stir constantly over a low heat until the chocolate is melted and smooth.

Add the creamy peanut butter and continue to stir until well combined.

If necessary, stir in more milk to achieve the desired consistency. The fondue should be smooth and easy to dip.

Pour the melted chocolate and peanut butter mixture into a fondue pot or serving dish.

Arrange the sliced bananas, whole strawberries, shortbread cookies and large marshmallows on a platter.

Alternatively, brush the banana slices with lemon juice to prevent browning.

Dip the fruit slices, biscuits and marshmallows into the warm fondue.
