A fusion of simplicity and nutrition, this humble yet powerful treat is made from earthy almond butter, hearty oats, crunchy peanuts and the natural sweetness of dates. Ingredients:
- 2 tablespoons almond butter (40g)
- 4 tablespoons oats (28g)
- 2 tablespoons unsalted roasted peanuts (24g), roughly chopped
- 1 date (6g), finely chopped
Method:
In a bowl, mix the almond butter, oats, chopped peanuts and finely chopped date until well combined.
Press the mixture into a small baking dish or baking sheet lined with greaseproof paper to form a layer about 1cm thick.
Chill in the fridge for at least 1 hour to allow the slices to set.
Once set, cut into bars or squares.
