Ingredients
- Butter – 120 g
- White chocolate – 120 g
- Matcha powder – 2 tablespoons
- Sugar – 170 g (preferably granulated sugar)
- Eggs (room temperature) – 3
- Sea salt – a pinch
- All-purpose flour – 130 g
Preparation
To prepare, preheat the oven to 175°C (350°F). Line a small baking pan (20 cm x 24 cm or similar size) with parchment paper.
Melt the butter in a saucepan over low heat.
Break the white chocolate into pieces and place in a bowl. Pour the melted butter over the chocolate, add the matcha powder, and stir until smooth and fully combined.
Warm the eggs (e.g., in a bowl of warm water), then crack them into a clean bowl. Add the sugar and sea salt, and whisk for about 5-7 minutes until thick and fluffy.
Gradually fold the cooled chocolate mixture into the whipped eggs in three parts, gently mixing with a spoon until combined.
Sift the all-purpose flour into the mixture and gently stir until smooth.
Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and bake for about 23 minutes. Remove from the oven and let cool before cutting into squares.
