Preparation

In a bowl, combine 250 g of buttermilk, sugar, flour, baking powder, egg, and melted butter. Cream everything together until you get a smooth batter. Add chocolate chips and mix well. Divide the batter into two parts. Add cocoa powder and the remaining 25 g of buttermilk to one part and mix well.

Line a cupcake tin with liners. Fill each liner halfway with the light and dark batters, then gently swirl them together using a fork. Bake the cupcakes for about 15 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Remove the cupcakes from the oven and let them cool.

Beat the butter and powdered sugar together until light and fluffy. Then add the cream cheese and beat again until well combined. Transfer the frosting into a piping bag and decorate each cupcake. Then sprinkle them with sugar sprinkles.
