Kansas City Ice Water Cocktail

Topped with sparkling mineral water, this cocktail is a sophisticated twist on the classic refreshment. Perfect for sipping on a warm evening or as a chic addition to any social gathering, the Kansas City Ice Water is sure to elevate your mixology repertoire.

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/4 ounces vodka (J. Rieger’s Premium Wheat Vodka recommended)
  • 3/4 ounce Riesling (preferably Kabinett)
  • 1/2 ounce chamomile syrup (recipe below)
  • 3/4 ounce freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 2 ounces sparkling mineral water (Topo Chico or Jarritos Mineragua recommended)
  • Garnish: lime wedge

Chamomile Syrup Ingredients:

  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 2 tablespoons dried chamomile flowers or chamomile tea bags

Method:

Chamomile Syrup Instructions:

Combine water and sugar in a small saucepan over medium heat.

Stir until the sugar is completely dissolved.

Add chamomile flowers or tea bags, reduce heat and simmer for about 5 minutes.

Remove from heat and allow to steep for 30 minutes.

Strain the chamomile and allow the syrup to cool.

Cocktail instructions:

Fill a long drink glass with ice cubes.

Pour in the vodka, Riesling, chamomile syrup and lime juice.

Top with sparkling water.

Gently stir to combine.

Garnish with a lime wheel.
