Ingredients:
- 1 1/4 ounces vodka (J. Rieger’s Premium Wheat Vodka recommended)
- 3/4 ounce Riesling (preferably Kabinett)
- 1/2 ounce chamomile syrup (recipe below)
- 3/4 ounce freshly squeezed lime juice
- 2 ounces sparkling mineral water (Topo Chico or Jarritos Mineragua recommended)
- Garnish: lime wedge
Chamomile Syrup Ingredients:
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup of sugar
- 2 tablespoons dried chamomile flowers or chamomile tea bags
Method:
Chamomile Syrup Instructions:
Combine water and sugar in a small saucepan over medium heat.
Stir until the sugar is completely dissolved.
Add chamomile flowers or tea bags, reduce heat and simmer for about 5 minutes.
Remove from heat and allow to steep for 30 minutes.
Strain the chamomile and allow the syrup to cool.
Cocktail instructions:
Fill a long drink glass with ice cubes.
Pour in the vodka, Riesling, chamomile syrup and lime juice.
Top with sparkling water.
Gently stir to combine.
Garnish with a lime wheel.
