Ingredients:
- 1 box yellow cake mix
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 3/4 cup oil
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
- 4 tablespoons milk
- 4 eggs, beaten
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 8 oz. sour cream
Method:
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 13×9 inch baking pan.
In a large bowl, combine the cake mix, oil, eggs and sour cream. Beat on medium speed until smooth.
Pour half of the mixture into the prepared pan.
In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar and cinnamon. Sprinkle this mixture over the batter in the pan.
Spread the rest of the batter carefully over the cinnamon and sugar mixture.
Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the centre comes out clean.
While the cake is baking, make the icing by mixing the icing sugar, milk and vanilla extract until smooth.
When the cake is done, remove from the oven and while still warm, prick the top with a fork.
Pour the icing over the warm cake, allowing it to seep into the holes.
Allow the cake to cool completely before serving.
