If you’re wondering how to make homemade ice cream that will satisfy any chocolate lover, this recipe is for you. Chocolate ice cream is an intense pleasure for the palate that you can create in the comfort of your own kitchen.
Ingredients
- Whipping cream (30-36% fat) – 300 ml (1 small container)
- Milk (2% fat) – 250 ml (1 cup)
- Granulated sugar – about 7-8 tablespoons – 80-90g
- Dark chocolate – 1 bar – 100g
- Milk chocolate – 3/4 bar – 75g
Preparation
The milk and cream should be cold, taken straight from the refrigerator. Pour half of the whipping cream into a saucepan and add the sugar. Heat over low to medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the sugar is completely dissolved.
Meanwhile, divide the chocolate into smaller pieces. To the heated cream mixture, add the remaining whipping cream and milk. Mix everything thoroughly and bring to a boil again.
Add the divided chocolate to the hot cream mixture. Stir constantly until the ingredients are well combined and the chocolate is melted. Pour the prepared chocolate mixture into the ice cream maker and follow the manufacturer’s instructions. If you don’t have an ice cream maker, proceed with the next steps of the recipe.
Place the container in the freezer for 30 minutes. After 30 minutes, remove the chocolate mixture from the freezer and blend it. Then continue the freezing process – blend the mixture every 30 minutes until it is completely chilled. This usually takes about 3-4 hours.
Once the chocolate mixture has been frozen and blended several times, it’s ready to enjoy after about 3-4 hours.
