Ingredients:
- 250g Jumbo Oats
- 125g butter, plus extra for the tin
- 125g light brown sugar
- 2-3 tablespoons golden syrup (depending on how sticky you want it)
Method:
Preheat the oven to 180C/160C fan/gas 4. Butter a square baking tin and line with baking parchment.
Melt the butter, sugar and golden syrup: In a saucepan, melt the butter, sugar and golden syrup over a low heat until the sugar has dissolved.
Remove the pan from the heat and stir in the oats, making sure all the oats are coated with the butter mixture.
Pour the mixture into the prepared tin and spread evenly. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
Allow the flapjacks to cool in the tin for 10 minutes, then cut into squares while still warm. Allow to cool completely before removing from the tin.
