If you enjoy the pleasant, warm, spicy aroma, try making gingerbread muffins. They will be a delicious dessert for the holidays, but not only.
Ingredients
- Flour 1.5 cups
- Brown sugar 3/4 cup
- Baking powder 1.5 teaspoons
- Fine sea salt a pinch
- Egg 1
- Honey 3 tablespoons
- Oil 1/3 cup
- Whole milk (3.2%) 3/4 cup
- Vanilla extract 2 teaspoons
- Dark chocolate 75 grams
- Heavy cream (30%) 3 tablespoons
- Butter 1 teaspoon
- Gingerbread spice for cakes and desserts 3/4 tablespoon
- Baking soda 1/2 teaspoon
Preparation
- Sift the flour through a sieve. Add the remaining dry ingredients to the flour and mix.
- In another bowl, whisk the wet ingredients. Combine the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients, mixing briefly.
- Line a muffin tin with paper liners. Pour the batter into the liners, filling them up to 3/4 full.
- Bake the muffins at 180 degrees Celsius for about 20-22 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Melt the ingredients for the glaze in a double boiler. Pour the glaze over the cooled muffins. Decorate with sugar pearls.
