This Frozen Espresso Martini is perfect for a sophisticated yet refreshing treat, combining the rich flavours of coffee with the smoothness of vodka and Kahlúa. The optional whipped cream adds a luxurious touch, making it an irresistible cocktail for coffee lovers.

Ingredients:

Whipped cream (optional):

  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon instant espresso powder
  • 1 tablespoon Baileys
  • 1 tablespoon powdered sugar

Frozen base & assembly:

  • 12 ounces (1 1/2 cups) concentrated cold brew, frozen
  • 3 ounces vodka
  • 2 ounces Kahlúa
  • 1 1/2 ounces simple syrup
  • Espresso beans and instant espresso powder, to serve (optional)

Method:

In a medium bowl, combine the heavy cream, instant espresso powder, Baileys and powdered sugar.

Whisk with an electric mixer until the mixture forms soft peaks.

Put the mixture in the fridge until ready to use.

Pour the concentrated cold brew into ice cube trays and freeze until firm, at least 4 hours or overnight.

Place the frozen Cold Brew cubes, vodka, Kahlúa and simple syrup in a blender.

Blend until smooth and slushy.

Pour the frozen espresso martini into glasses.

Top with whipped cream if using.

Garnish with a sprinkle of instant espresso powder and espresso beans if desired.
