Ingredients:
- 3 large egg whites
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup freeze-dried strawberries
- 1 pack strawberry gelatine
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
- 1 cup melted dark chocolate chips
Method:
Preheat the oven to 225°F (107°C). Line baking sheets with baking paper.
Powder sugar and strawberries; fold in gelatin.
Beat the egg whites until stiff; fold in the strawberry mixture until stiff peaks form.
Pipe 2-inch roses onto baking trays; bake for 40-45 minutes.
Turn off oven and leave meringues to stand for 1.5 hours.
Dip meringues in chocolate; allow to set on waxed paper.
