Creamsicle Mimosas

This recipe combines the nostalgic flavour of a childhood Creamsicle with the effervescence of sparkling Champagne. The result is a creamy, citrusy drink that’s both refreshing and indulgent. Perfect for sipping on a lazy weekend morning or serving at a festive gathering, these mimosas are sure to brighten your day and tickle your taste buds.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 1 tablespoon heavy cream
  • 1 bottle of Champagne, Prosecco or Cava
  • 1/4 cup sugar, to rim champagne flutes
  • Orange slices, to garnish

Method:

Place the sugar on a small plate. Rim the champagne flutes with an orange slice to wet the rim, then dip the rims into the sugar to coat.

Carefully pour 2-3 tablespoons of orange juice into each flute.

Add a small drop (about 1/2 teaspoon) of heavy cream to the orange juice.

Fill the rest of the flute with Champagne, Prosecco or Cava, pouring slowly to avoid overflowing.

Stir gently to combine the orange juice, cream and Champagne.

Garnish with a slice of orange on the rim of the flute.
