These Chocolate Cuties are not only easy to make but also versatile, making them perfect for satisfying cravings or impressing guests with their elegant simplicity. They’re ideal for dessert tables, holiday gatherings or simply as a guilt-free treat any time you’re in the mood for something sweet.
Ingredients:
- 1/4 cup melted semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 teaspoon coconut oil
- 5 mandarins, peeled and segmented
- flaky sea salt, to garnish
Method:
In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the semi-sweet chocolate chips and coconut oil together in short bursts of 15-20 seconds, stirring between each burst until smooth. Alternatively, melt in a double boiler on the stove.
Dip each mandarin segment halfway into the melted chocolate mixture. Allow any excess chocolate to drip off.
Place the chocolate coated orange segments on a baking sheet or plate lined with greaseproof paper.
Sprinkle a pinch of flaky sea salt over the chocolate coated segments for a contrasting flavour.
Place the chocolate-covered orange segments in the fridge for about 15-20 minutes or until the chocolate has set.
Once the chocolate has set, serve your Chocolate Cuties as a delicious and easy to make dessert or snack.
