This cocktail is a blend of tart cherries and smooth bourbon, with a hint of sweetness and a foamy top. It’s a classic with a twist, easy to shake and perfect to enjoy after a long day.
Ingredients:
- 20 Coles Morello cherries in syrup, plus 60ml glass syrup
- 90ml Bourbon Whiskey
- 60ml fresh lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon sugar syrup
- 1 egg white
- 1 1/2 cups ice cubes
Method:
Drain the cherries, reserving 60ml of the syrup.
Muddle the cherries and reserved syrup in the base of a shaker to release their flavours.
Add the bourbon whiskey, fresh lemon juice, sugar syrup and egg whites to the shaker.
Fill the shaker with ice cubes and shake vigorously until well chilled.
Strain the mixture into a glass filled with fresh ice.
Garnish with a few of the muddled cherries and serve immediately.
