Ingredients:
- 1 pint fresh strawberries, hulled and seeded
- 1 (8 oz) carton of cream cheese, softened
- ½ cup powdered sugar
- ½ teaspoon almond extract (substitute for vanilla extract if preferred)
- graham crackers, crushed (optional for garnish)
Method:
In a mixing bowl, beat together the softened cream cheese, icing sugar and almond extract until smooth.
Transfer the cream cheese mixture to an icing bag. If you don’t have a piping bag, cut the corner off a resealable plastic bag and use that as a makeshift bag.
Carefully fill the strawberry cores with the cream cheese mixture.
If desired, dip the filled side of the strawberries in crushed graham crackers for a crunchy coating.
Chill the strawberries in the fridge before serving to allow the filling to set.
