Ingredients

  • bananas – 4
  • sugar – 1/4 cup
  • vanilla extract (optional) – 1 teaspoon
  • milk – 1/2 cup

Preparation

Peel and slice the bananas into smaller pieces, then freeze them for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight, ensuring they’re completely frozen before proceeding.

Retrieve the frozen bananas from the freezer and place them in a sturdy blender or food processor. Add sugar and vanilla extract if desired. Pour in the milk. Blend all ingredients until smooth and homogeneous. If the mixture appears too thick, gradually add a little more milk, ensuring not to dilute the ice cream excessively.

Transfer the mixture into a freezer-safe container. You can use a loaf pan or a container with a lid. Place the mixture in the freezer for a minimum of 2 hours. For optimal consistency and flavor, stir the ice cream every hour during the first 3 hours of freezing.

Prior to serving, remove the ice cream from the freezer for 5-10 minutes to slightly soften, making it easier to scoop.
