Green tea and lime sorbet

Green tea and lime sorbet

Enjoy the refreshing flavor of green tea in this delicious dessert, combining the sweetness of mango with the tartness of lime. This perfect sorbet will delight you from the very first bite.

Ingredients:

  • Pineapple – 0.5 piece
  • Brown sugar – 100 g
  • Mango – 1 piece
  • Lime – 3 pieces
  • Green tea – 3 bags

Preparation:

Brew 3 green tea bags in 500 ml of boiling water for 2 minutes. Remove the tea bags, sweeten the tea with 100 g of brown sugar, and let it cool completely.

Scald the limes, finely grate the zest. Juice all the limes and measure 125 ml of juice. Mix the lime juice and zest with the tea, sweeten to taste. Pour into a shallow dish (preferably metal) and freeze for 6-8 hours. Stir occasionally during the first 4-5 hours to break up the ice crystals.

Peel the pineapple and mango. Remove the tough core from the pineapple, and separate the mango flesh from the seed. Dice the flesh into cubes. Before serving, slightly thaw the sorbet and blend to desired consistency. Serve in scoops with fresh fruit.

Tip: The sorbet can also be frozen using an ice cream maker according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
