Poppy seeds with chocolate – a divine combination for any occasion.
Ingredients:
- poppy seed filling 400 g
- butter 100 g
- dark or semi-sweet chocolate (50%) 100 g
- eggs 2
- sugar 1/2 cup
- flour 150 g (1 cup)
- baking powder 1/2 teaspoon
- milk 1/2 cup (125 ml) For decoration: almond flakes or peeled almonds, nuts 2 tablespoons
Preparation:
Preheat the oven to 180°C. Prepare the poppy seed filling. In a saucepan, place the chopped butter and chocolate broken into pieces. Heat on low, stirring constantly until the ingredients melt and form a smooth chocolate mixture. Remove from heat. In a bowl, beat the eggs with sugar (about 4 minutes) until fluffy.
Add the melted chocolate and poppy seed filling and mix with a spoon. Add the flour mixed with baking powder and milk, and combine everything by stirring with a spoon. Pour the batter into a baking pan approximately 20 x 30 cm, sprinkle with almond flakes, and place in the oven for about 30 minutes.
