Green Tea and Lime Sorbet

Green Tea and Lime Sorbet

A delicious, refreshing dessert that combines the aroma of green tea with the sweetness of mango and the tartness of lime.

Ingredients:

  • Pineapple – 0.5 piece
  • Brown sugar – 100 g
  • Mango – 1 piece
  • Lime – 3 pieces
  • Green tea bags – 3 pieces

Preparation:

Step 1: Brew the Green Tea Pour 500 ml of boiling water over the tea bags and let them steep for 2 minutes. Remove the tea bags, sweeten the tea with 100 g of brown sugar, and allow it to cool completely.

Step 2: Prepare the Lime Scald one lime and grate the zest finely. Squeeze all the limes to obtain 125 ml of juice. Mix the lime juice and zest with the cooled green tea, adding more sugar to taste if needed. Pour the mixture into a shallow dish (preferably metal) and place it in the freezer for 6-8 hours. For the first 4-5 hours, stir occasionally to break up the ice crystals.

Step 3: Prepare the Fruits Peel the pineapple and mango. Remove the woody core from the pineapple and separate the mango flesh from the pit. Dice the fruit into small cubes.

Step 4: Final Preparation and Serving Before serving, slightly thaw the sorbet and break it up with a blender to the desired consistency. Scoop the sorbet into balls and serve with the diced pineapple and mango.

Tip: The sorbet can also be made using an ice cream maker, following the manufacturer’s instructions.
